Would you believe it if I told you that these two gorgeous people organised their beautiful, intimate barn wedding in the Cotswolds in 3 days? It’s true.
Originally a 240 person wedding, they whittled their guest list down to 30, then had to push everything forward by 2 weeks to avoid the 15 people restriction that came into place last Monday. They found a new venue, a new church, and a new caterer, wrangled an emergency decree from the archbishop and emergency bridal shoes from the village shop, designed and printed beautiful stationary 48 hours before the wedding, then had to change their order of the day again to accommodate the new 10pm curfew. Honestly, I feel exhausted just writing about it, but Camilla and Dan took it all in their stride and pulled off the most amazing day. The weather played ball, the wine flowed freely, there was socially distanced outdoor dancing and heartfelt speeches. It was all pretty special.
And the moral of the story? When life gives you lemons, find yourself a pear tree under which to stand and kiss your betrothed because love is forever (but coronavirus is not).
